FRIENDS of Vatnajökull is a nonprofit fund-raising association for  Vatnajökull National Park. The role of the association is to raise funds to support research, as well as promotional and educational activities, to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy the natural and historical phenomena the National Park has to offer. Thanks to mutual contributions of domestic and foreign individuals, as well as companies, associations and institutions, the FRIENDS of Vatnajökull Association will be able to support worthy and important projects.
